Times Gone By...
Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 06:53PM December has gone by in a blur... really? Ack, 2011 is almost over?? My heart is so full. This year has been absolutely amazing. I'm feeling very nostalgic tonight... I cannot stop thinking about all the wonderful people in my life. I am truly blessed. 2011 had it's share of ups and downs (without a doubt!) but I feel as though I am entering 2012 a much stronger & happier person. And I just KNOW 2012 is going to ROCK.
2011 brought some major changes for me.
Little Dreamer closed: Wow that was so hard for me, but with everything going on in my life, with my health and my pregnancy, it just had to be done. It was terrible.
The birth of my son: Life changing. Obviously. My pregnancy was so incredibly hard. I had so many unexpected circumstances during my pregnancy; life just felt - unbalanced. Now that my son is here. Life is so different. Babies have a way of bringing so much love, and joy, and, well. Peace. I am at peace. I am so grateful for Morgan. He is my sunshine and he makes me smile every single day.
Little Dreamer reopened!: A new look, a new format, When i closed up shoppe in March, I didn't really think about the possibility of reopening down the road.. And what a blessing it has been for me! I am so grateful for my sweet customers. I just love them. I love that they love what I love to create :) It's such a joy for me. Truly.
My main goal for 2012; Keep it all in check. Yes, that sounds so simple. But I can really get so side tracked by life; by my never ending TO DO LIST. It's so easy to become overwhelmed. And I'm vowing to just NOT in 2012. I am consistently amazed by how life has a way of just working itself out.. Geez, it's like there is some grand plan or something ;) So, 2012. Keep it in check: let go of the unimportant details and look deeper at the bigger picture... I also have some relationships that are in need of healing. 2010 and 2011 where very hard on some of my relationships, I found myself letting go of people whom I really really love, and I want them back in my life. I'm hoping my 2012 will be a year of amazing healing and growth. Wow. How cool.
And what's coming for Little Dreamer in 2012?? :) Awesomeness. Without a doubt. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve for LDD.. I know my subscribers will be pleased :)
Previews for January's content should be up sometime tomorrow. With all the 12 Days of Christmas goodies I am afraid I am a little behind. This collection is turning out LOVELY though. It's perfect for recording your memories of 2011, your goals for 2012 or just scrapping something you LOVE. It's called Timeless.. December What?
Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 10:39AM I feel like I'm playing catch up. December has been so busy! Working on so many projects lately I've been burning the candle at both ends.
Little Dreamer's 12 Days of Christmas has also been keeping me on my toes :) I love it, but I am feeling overwhelmed today. It does help me get into the Christmas spirit though! And I know all my subscription members are loving it ;)
We had a freak winter wind storm last week and we've been cleaning up the damage. It was crazy, winds upwards of 100 miles per hour. Our poor trees. We were fortunate to save our biggest tree, it was a close call though. If we hadn't roped it off, trajectory had it landing smack on top of my car. Our favorite pine tree didn't fair well though :( It was so beautiful. Planted in 1944 and over 55 feet tall. Every Christmas the owners would actually stream Christmas lights all over it, and it was just gorgeous. Sadly the wind knocked it down. It breaks my heart. Driving past the golf courses too, upwards of 400 age old trees were lost. It makes me want to cry.
Apparently there are only 10 more days until Christmas.. I feel so unprepared! This year has just been going way too fast for me. I need to find a way to slow it down..
I was in Walmart the other day; I'm not a huge fan of Walmart. I usually go to Target :) But we were purchasing presents for the Angel Tree. I found the cutest little trinket EVER.. I could resist. I had to buy it.
It's magical :)
Who wouldn't want a butterfly in a jar?? It's brilliant. Lorynn and I call it our pet. It moves and flutters it's wings whenever you tap the top. We love it :)
Finishing up a million projects today, AND I still need to get the 12 Days of Christmas up! I guess I'd better get on it :)
